Education and Teaching:
In May of 2009 I graduated from Truman State University with a Master of Arts in Education. The next three years (2009-2012) I spent teaching 2nd grade in the City of St. Charles School District. After a move to be closer to home, I began teaching 4th grade in the Northwest R1 School District where I spent the next six years from 2012-2018. I'm so happy to be returning to Spoede for my third year in 3rd grade for the 2020-2021 school year.
Personal:
Outside of the classroom I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband Dustin, our daughters Ruth and Esther fill my life with joy. With my family I love to do things like spending time at the lake when the weather is warm, and time hitting the slopes out West during the Winter. We love to travel, both near and far, eating at new restaurants and exploring small towns wherever we go. When I do have a moment to myself, which is very rare, I love to watch Netflix and read. I also greatly enjoy decorating, cleaning, and organizing our home.
